We are delighted to be organising another free Silver Saturday event at St Mary and St John the Divine in Balham this October on Saturday 10th.
It will take a similar format to previous years and this time will feature Lou Bailey from Lou Bailey Design who will be running 30 minute group sessions to help those who are moving in later life.
Lou says: “I help people turn a new house into a home — especially those moving later in life, leaving behind a home they’ve lived in for decades. That kind of move isn’t just boxes and van hire; it’s about finding where your memories, your rituals, and your furniture fit in a new space. Through simple, practical ideas — from how you use scent and light, to how your treasured furniture can find a new lease of life through reupholstery, contrast, and scale — I help people settle in and feel truly at home again, faster and with far less stress.”
We are also welcoming Power to Connect who will be joining us to help you with your digital conundrums. If your phone isn’t doing what you want it to or you want to learn something, bring it down and have a chat with them!
Come along, have a cuppa, play some games, or just chat, or knit, join in with a Power to Connect session, and take your turn with your group session with Lou; whether you are moving or not, you’ll pick up some great tips.
